Starting this month, I will be launching the first chapter of my 1970s super robot serial PunchGun at ArroYEAH.com!
To commemorate PunchGun’s debut, I’ll be passing out sweet promotional postcards at this year’s Small Press Expo. You can find me at the School of Visual Arts’ table (F2A, F3, F4) with my fellow Cartoon Allies. I’ll also be selling issues of my minicomic series Nuclear Fiction.
Sorry for the few weeks of silence. Our family lost a loved one and the only computer equipped with Photoshop in my household had a power supply issue. Further pages should continue along on-schedule.
My buddy Emily Kay Jay is hosting a Guest Week on her webcomic, Blisterfish. Some of my talented peers and I have contributed art inspired by the paranormal adventures of a girl covered in blisters. Check it out!
Sorry for the delay, folks! This week I’ve been busy launching some new programs for the Cartoon Allies.
Cartoon Allies is SVA’s student-run cartooning club open to all majors. I’ve recently been promoted to club president (which we refer to internally as Major General), and we’ve put together new summer programs to help promote and support students:
- The Cartoon Allies Tumblog is a sister blog to our main site, dedicated to reblogging the work of SVA students and alumni. Please follow us to check out what our talented young cartoonists are working on!
- The Keep It Steady Initiative is a multifaceted program for encouraging students to draw comics and meet their goals over the summer. Along with web-based group critiques and weekly challenges, we’re revitalizing the main blog with new content, including a short weekly series by yours truly regarding building a productive work ethic.
To make up for last week’s missed update, I’ll be posting two new pages of the current story, “Steel Wraiths,” every day this week, culminating with the final pages on Thursday. I hope you’ll enjoy, and if you like these old comics, please head over to tumblr and check out my other art.
Welcome to ArroYEAH!, my new comics and creative writing site!
This past weekend, I debuted my latest minicomic, Nuclear Fiction v1.2 (part of my short story anthology series) at SVA’s Fresh Meat and MoCCA Fest. To celebrate the close of two awesome comic shows, this ship is setting sail. Whether you’re here because you’ve been following me on tumblr, picked up my afro-tastic business card this weekend, or traded minis with me, I hope you subscribe to the RSS feed and join me on this great cartooning journey.
New comics will be posted every Monday. I hope to upload the entirety of my print anthology Nuclear Fiction over the coming months, building up to the digital and print release of Nuclear Fiction v1.3 in the summer and further issues beyond.
My freshman comic effort Nuclear Fiction v1.0 is already up in its entirety, and I’ll be serializing v1.1 over the next month in celebration of the comic’s first anniversary.
The site’s still a bit rough around the edges, but I hope you enjoy reading the evolution of my art as I prepare new material. If you’re interested in random snippets of more recent work, head over to Chasing Comets.
